Karta Purkh Singh Khalsa, Yogaraj (Ayurveda), DN-C, RH, CAP, LMT, NCTMB, CC, has over 40 years of experience in alternative medicine, and is one of the foremost alternative healing experts in North America. He is a state certified dietitian and nationally registered herbalist, nationally certified massage therapist, a certified education provider for The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and the Florida State Board of Massage Therapy and senior editor for The Harvard University Natural Standard. Khalsa is president of the American Herbalists Guild, director of the National Ayurvedic Medicine Association and is a respected teacher, writer and lecturer who has presented at over 200 national conferences and is featured in 15 DVD continuing education courses. He has authored or edited 30 books, including his latest, The Way of Ayurvedic Herbs. Khalsa is a professor at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and faculty member in the Botanical Medicine Department of Bastyr University and National College of Natural Medicine, where he trains naturopathic medical students. Khalsa served as Senior Research Scientist and Chief Medical Formulator for Yogi Tea for 30 years.
